Joulon Services DMCC announced the acquisition of RAM Designs, a south Louisiana based riser inspection company, founded in 2011. RAM Designs is a pioneer in the offshore robotic inspection of drilling risers, a method that reduces maintenance costs by eliminating the need for removing buoyancy and by reducing the logistics costs for operators. RAM Designs also conducts repairs and re-certification of flex joints and diverters, flex joint.
Joulon was founded to create an integrated entity to provide asset management services to the oil and gas industry globally. The investment in the platform has been made primarily by KKR Asia Fund II, which is a $6 billion fund that seeks to invest in a wide range of industries in the global marketplace.
