CTF TUNISIA
DSL was contracted for, and successfully completed, a major offshore and onshore project in Tunisia. This remote site required DSL’s extensive resources and sophisticated delivery infrastructure. The scope of work encompassed decommissioning and dismantling the derrick equipment set, the power generation and mud treatment package from platform 5, an onshore upgrade and refurbishment program, as well as the installation, outfitting and commissioning from offshore North Africa to platform 06.
DSL SINGAPORE FAST RESPONSE
Our Singapore fabrication facility was recently contracted to provide emergency repair for a customer that had experienced significant damage to their A-Frame/Cantilever Legs on a Slingshot Rig during rig up. We immediately dispatched a survey crew to assess the damage and establish a full scope of work to get the rig up and running. After creating the necessary engineering drawings, we commenced the fabrication and machining of the replacement A-Frames according to API 4F specifications. Our Singapore workshop personnel turned this around in record time. The new parts were ready for delivery within 15 days of the initial survey, without any compromise to quality. The subsequent installation was a complete success.
HALIBURTON RIG CONDITION SURVEY
Halliburton engaged in a two-year contract with DSL to carry out a variety of inspection, survey, and associated services on four land rigs in Indonesia. This contract provides a perfect case study of the range of services that DSL can offer our clients in the evaluation of rigs, auditing of operational systems and requisite certification. We conduct these services while providing the management support to ensure that certification of equipment and plant is current. This Halliburton project included 12 related steps – beginning with a rig assessment survey for each rig move, all the way through troubleshooting and maintenance. We used RigCentral software to manage and monitor all of these services and inspections from one location, with alerts provided whenever recertification of any particular component or systems was due.
